in the Valley in both MBB and WBB. Only a few years ago, WSU's WBB program was a total shambles.

Sycamores lose, 74-63

Sounds like "the same old story." Many costly mistakes. We had a nine or ten point lead in the first half but managed to lose it by halftime. Got off to a bad start in second half but rallied to go ahead by a point behind Brittany Schoen's 3-point shooting. But the Sycamores collapsed in the final two minutes and lost 74-63.

Sadly, freshman point guard Jessica Valley sustained what appears to be a serious knee injury in the second half. Our thoughts and prayers are with her.

hopefully Jessica's injury is not as serious as it sounds.

Fifth straight loss, with one more coming at Illinois State next game, that should put us out of contention for a top 6 finish for sure. Sad to see what was a promising start dissipate so quickly

These last 4 losses have been anyones game in the last couple of minutes. The Lady Sycamores need to learn how to win these close games. I think from top to bottom this is about as even as I have ever seen the MVC. With maybe the exception of Evansville. Even SIU is starting to put it together. I think any team that can avoid the Thursday game has a pretty good chance of winning the tournament. Even some of the teams playing Thursday could stand a chance but that's a lot of games in 4 days.
