It’s me again. 4th and SSOM, you’re not invited. Would you agree that The Rangers squeezing into the playoffs, and smoking all those GOOD teams in there path, would be a reasonable sports miracle?

I've been pulling for AZ throughout the playoffs. It is interesting that it's the AL#5 vs the NL#6. Just more proof that 162 games is a total waste of time, which is why I don't pay attention to MLB until the postseason.

I would agrue the top teams having a few days off before starting the playoffs is the biggest issue. Not sure how you fix that though. The rest is good, but it tends to get you out of rhythm. Some teams overcome that, while like this year, others don't.

While I live in Dallas and am rooting for the Rangers, I don’t think you can have the most expensive middle infield in baseball and consider their run through the World Series as a miracle. They’ve definitely overcome a lot of injuries this year and they don’t have the traditionally dominant bullpen most championship teams have, but they have a lot of top-flight talent.

Infield is playing outstanding defense, but the only guy swinging the bat that’s worth is Seager.

I look for the Dbacks to bounce back tonight. I really thought this series would go 7 and it still might but last night was impressive by Rangers!

Agree - the most miraculous issue for the Rangers is that it's taken them 60+ years to be on the verge of winning a World Series title -- the Rangers (nee' Washington Senators 2.0) are the OLDEST FRANCHISE in MLB without a WS title...

Let's see if they lock it up this evening -- I'd say they're going to win it for Frank Howard but I know full well, none of these rangers have a clue who that is...

RIP Frank!

Oh, the Rangers have been on the verge of winning a WS before...reminder of G6 in 2011. 😁

At first I thought you were talking about our first game against Evansville in the MVC Championship.
My thoughts exactly. I don't think I've ever seen anything like that. 5-2 with 2 outs in the bottom of the 9th and no-one on. Evansville didn't do too much at the plate all day. I can't remember the exact details but wasn't Evansville down to their final STRIKE like 4 different times? Including an 0-2 count and then the guy hits a grand slam. I remember listening to the game on the radio and just being totally shocked and not comprehending Eville just won the game. I had confidence we were going to win the winner-take-all matchup later that evening, but man did I think the committee was going to screw us out of hosting because of that
