Sycamore Proud
The Nicks Level
WOW! I just let the dogs out and with the back lights behind me and the dark sky I could actually see the snow falling. That doesn't sound like much to most of you--I know that. You see it's the little things we take for granted that are so very special when we can no longer do them. Things like sight, hearing, smell, taste and touch are so common you just know it's works every moment. But you soon realize how wrong that is if one of these senses isn't functional. In my case it's sight--I can still see people a few front of me, but there is no definition. It's just shapes. It's hereditary and Becky and I have prepared ourselves for it. Humor helps--when someone asks about my vision I often say take care of your eyes. You can't get new ones at Amazon. I implore each of you to be thankful for these senses and do all you can do protect them. Thanks for letting me ramble here. And take care of your self. I COULD SEE THE SNOW FALLING! It's the little things taht make life great. I am so very thankful. I'm not asking for sympathy; I just wanted to share my excitement and rambled on.
