Someone mentioned in another thread about him being O'Leary's buddy and he could also be a walk-on kicking candidate. We've had some pretty poor kicking in recent years, so I think Miles would welcome him with open arms.

I've been looking on the net for this kid, apparently he didnt miss an extra point or field goal his senior year and has as good of distance on kickoffs as the martinez kid. But hes small only 150 pounds. Hopefully he can put on some weight and muscle and put some consistency in the kicking game at state.

I live down the street from Logan and I have been to all of his games in the past few years at THN. He hasnt missed since he has been in high school with a long of 47 in a jamboree game before he was injured for the season as a junior. This year he had a lot of touchbacks even with all the pooch kicking that North did. I expect Logan to play immediately because of his work ethic, I see him drinking protein shakes, working out with his dad, and kicking in his back yard everyday of the week. He says he is really excited to play at ISU and I cant wait to see how he progresses.

Hey Logan, can you punt as well as kick?

Just wondered.....and remember....work on your kickoffs over the summer....some kickers only worry about field goals and extra points....if you can master your kickoffs....and your on-sides kicks.....then you have a chance to play really early....

and if you can punt...work on your kicks being downed inside the opponent's 20-yard line...we used to call them "coffin corner kicks" back in the day...that's a dying art form....

Kickoffs have been my main focus in the off-season, I've had some days where I can put the ball 65 yards all day and others 60. Punting I just started this year when coach put me in for Chris, I havent really gotten it down yet but hopefully I'll get to work with Scott and Steve Weatherford in the off-season again. I know I can do it because I had a 52 yarder land inside the 20 and go straight out of bounds at Warren Central and the coaches asked me to work on that. It's just a matter of working hard!

yea i heard he was a much better baseball player than football and i think he is doing both!

Nothing against the kid but if he is anywhere near the ISU baseball team, it is going to be a long season. He couldn't hardly even get on the mound for THN or the legion team.

I always support our basketball and baseball team, Wade was a closer at North when he was here.

That's great. You sound like you got your head on straight.

Wade was a starter at the beginning of the year until Bailey and Walker came back. Then he became the defacto closer. North used Bailey(until he got kicked off), Walker, O'Laughlin, and Patterson the majority of the time with Nacke and Mundy pitching quite a bit. Wade did do a little closing on the legion team, but he blew up toward the end of the season.

logan...while you are working on your kickoffs.....

concentrate on hang time....and distance.....as Pat McAfee from the Colts tells me.....he just tries to "kill the ball" when he does kickoffs....

and if steve weatherford comes back to the haute in the offseason...and you have a chance to work with him....do it.....lol.....plus i can give you the names and email addresses of a couple former kickers and punters at isu...who would love to offer their assistance if you want it.....

Yea for sure! I know I'll be able to work with Scott since were only a year apart were friends, Steve just depends on when he visits. But Im always willing to take some advice especially on punting.

logan....send me your email address...

...and i will forward you the email addresses of some guys who punted and kicked for Indiana State....some of the best to ever do the job at ISU....
