Wideman is simply a beast, he is built like a truck. However, don’t let his size fool you, he has very good hands and footwork in the post. He runs the floor pretty well and is a good rebounder on both ends of the court. Tyler has lost a little weight recently which should help his over all quickness, especially helping him on the defensive end.

Lake Central 6-6 junior Tyler Wideman said Ball State, Indiana State, Tennessee and Xavier have been showing the most recent interest in him. He said he hopes to visit Indiana State soon.

In an update with Trevor Anderson, Wideman is now reporting an offer from Indiana State. Said there is a lot of contact with our staff.

Will be interesting to see what happens there, because I wouldn't think Butler would take both Martin and Wideman. Stranger things have happened, but I didn't think they were that much in need of help at the "4" spot. We will see what happens to the other if one commits to Butler soon.
Unsure what the new oversign policy will be but assuming there is spots, they'd take both.
Bluiett is deciding in September so that's not relevant. It would only be JP Macura who could potentially commit before the two. But again I think there's a pretty good likelihood they'd just oversign.
Martin evidently wants to make at least another visit before committing. I have no idea on Wideman, I'd imagine he'd try to visit between the 2nd and 3rd open period.

Thanks for the input. There was some questioning on Twitter if this was a good offer. Do you think Wideman is Big East caliber?
