Best prospect - Mel Esso, Conrad Academy, 2017: The French import has only been in the United States for a month and he seems quite acclimated to the levels of play that comes with being a highly recruited prospect. No one played harder on Saturday in the individual camp than Esso did. The 6-foot-6 wing scored all over the floor, defended with purpose and crashed the boards with strength. He’s a good shooter and has a great feel for the game. Don’t be surprised to hear his name all over recruiting lists as college coaches get a chance to see him play.

Color me intrigued...

A 6'7" aggressive wing that can shoot will play very well in the Valley. It's a guard-oriented league and most teams in the Valley have decent backcourts, so having some advantage on the wing would be huge. I like the size and am intrigued by his athleticism. The videos online seem to focus more on his spot-up shooting ability, so I'd be curious to know if he's as relentless of a rebounder as the write-up in Jason's post makes him seem. Also, can he curl off of a screen and rise-up from midrange? All of his shots in the video seem to be spot-up three's.

Maybe he can be our Markis McDuffie light?
