You know if the program was truly interested in this recruit, probably should have touched base w/ a former receivers coach who went to Marist for some help.
Exactly!!! That's been my complaint for years. Recruiting is more than just the coaching staff hitting the road. You need to have a national network of trusted alums and ex-players who can provide assistance. And, I know there are NCAA regulations prohibiting some things, but there are a lot of other areas where current recruiting initiatives would be improved on. There are a lot of guys who would bend over backwards to help. Clink needs to explore those options.
