No Illinois....

I see that the Illini aren't on the schedule this year. They were always a good home-and-home series.
 
I like how ISU gets screwed with 4 MVC road series this year, and only 3 home series.

The bye week for league is week number three. Might be a little early...but maybe we'll need it then! You never know.
 
Big Ten

I never understood how we never played MORE big ten teams? This year they cut Illinois from the schedule? Only Indiana remainds. Help me out Tom James? What is the reason? Also no Notre Dame on the schedule. This seems like a weak schedule?

They start the season with a series against Minnesota. The 2nd biggest school in the Big 10 I believe.

It helps to avoid the snow, ice & frigid temps EARLY in the season...a lot of distractions & player health threats. Is the Metrodome replacement also an indoor/or retractable roof facility?

Can you explain to me how ISU is getting 'screwed"?

UNI dropped the program and the other conference series remain on schedule.

They alternate every year so it'll be the reverse next year.
 
Was in town & drove by the stadium today. Finally some brick being laid.
 
I would like to see more Big Ten and Big 12 teams.....

like Illinois....Ohio State....Michigan....Missouri....Kansas....teams that are within a short driving distance from ISU......

Ruck, where are your boyz at now on the "developmental scheme?" If I remember correctly, they were coming along pretty good on the E-ville horizon, which historically yields some pretty fair HS talent. What do they think about ol' dad's playing dayz @ ISU?

My daughter (Haley) will be a freshman next year @ Evansville Reitz; She was all confrence volleyball, basketball and won the Lutheran teammate award, had 43 points in 2 basketball games this year at 5 foot 8

My son (Blake) 12, will play for the travel Indy Bulls Baseball team next summer; Was MVP of ELS pre season 7th and 8th grade basketball tourney, had games of 25/ 31/ and 39.

Every time we drive by Terre Haute, my kids never want to stop? Heck my wife played tennis at ISU for 3 years? Someday they will visit ISU.

Stop in Terre Haute?! Shoot -- while it's been awhile since I've been North of the Haute on 41, is it still open prairie until Kentland?

I'd think you'd have to stop for gas, food, etc before making that push north...
