First Year AD. Credit for decisiveness getting his own hires in place which seems to be any AD's first priority.

Boston College Coach Search Odds. Some interesting names on this list. I think I may put my money on Eisley.

Obviously the hot news is Lansing is gone. But some other news out there:

Albany has let their head coach go. Binghamton did as well but they named an interim for next season.

Outside of that, lots of buzz that Pitino will not be back at Minnesota.

Moser's name popping up on BC radar also
Does BC fans really think Stevens would leave the NBA for BC?? Thought he was going to IU? lol

Job opening just down the road. Spoon out at EIU.
Since EIU is my second favorite team I'd like to comment on this one. This was a dumb move by EIU. He was as good of a coach as they were going to get (and I think he is a good coach). I always felt that EIU was lucky to have him. Their budget is barely over a million dollars, the arena is awful, and they're not really in an area that college kids want to hang out at.

For what it's worth I think he would be successful at ISU. ISU is probably an easier place to recruit from, our budget is double what he's used to, and we play in an actual arena. If we hired him there would be no complaints from me.

Let me make sure I understand your perspective... you believe Jay Spoonhour is a great coach at / for EIU, despite their budget, arena and "media market"...
essentially his .431 record was outstanding given the "barriers" he faced...

Hmmm... interesting, I believe there many on this board that feel the same way about the current HC at Indiana State... other than the Ind State HC having a w/l record that's "100 points" higher... has made multi- post-season runs...

Can you show me a recent post I've said that I don't want Lansing to return? I was ready to leave him in Springfield, MO after that disastrous series and start to the season, but I give credit where credit is due. ISU has played pretty well down the stretch. Well enough that I actually want Lansing back next season.

Jacksonville University Senior Vice President and Athletic Director Alex Ricker-Gilbert announced today that a change in leadership will occur at the top of the men’s basketball program, officially parting ways with Head Coach Tony Jasick, effective immediately.

Jasick’s tenure comes to a close having posted a 95-122 record across seven seasons including a 42-60 mark in ASUN play. A national search for the program’s 17th head coach, with Dr. Richard Sander of TopConnect serving in an advisory roll, will begin immediately.
