2024 Rankings & Accolades

I figured we needed to start one of these for the baseball team. Sycamores check in at #23 in this week's Perfect Game Top 25. This week is HUGE with Vandy and a good Southern Miss team on the slate. Take care of business this week and I believe we will be ranked everywhere.

For baseball noobs, what is the highest we've ever been ranked?

I believe last year's #9 finish was the highest we have ever been ranked but I could be wrong.

That was for RPI, we were ranked #11 in d1 baseball's final rankings of last year.

Okay, so I wasn't nuts. I was trying to find stuff from the Warn days but didn't find anything better than last year. Admittedly, college baseball isn't my strong suit but if Mitch keeps this up, he becomes the Sycamore baseball alpha, no?

If Wikipedia is even semi-accurate, we finished #7 in the final Collegiate Baseball 1986 poll.

I don't get caught up in the rankings with baseball. Look at us last year, we started the season 2-9 and ended up being a top 16 team (hosting a regional and going to a super regional). Rankings are going to get consumed mostly by ACC, Big 12, and SEC programs. This baseball program is known throughout the country and if we keep winning, a number next to our name will come. We currently sit at #32 in the Coaches Poll according to WarrenNolan.com.
