What about recruiting and committing?
Can’t commit until you’re officially in the portal. Recruiting doesn’t matter. You will see a few players enter the portal and commit to another program the same week.

I know nothing about this kid or the competition he played, but the first thought is he is 5’9” and it has been said over and over a slam on Legree is he can’t get to the rim because of his size. This should be considered not just he scored a bunch.

Losing programs…
I'd counter with this kid appears to be able to shoot and Legree cannot. Slight distinction in a 3FG heavy offense.
Furman hasn’t had a losing season since 2105. NCAA tourney team in 2023.
