Hopefully Arch learned a valuable lesson in the game.

He walked the next batter and (finally) got pulled.

Faced five batters, got one out. Gave up a double, home run and two walks.

I know its early, but I was really hoping we would have won 1 of the last 3. As a northern team we are certainly at a disadvantage early in the year when playing these southern schools, but I was really hoping for more competitive play against these major schools. Last night was the best of the 3, but still a loss. Hoping we can round into shape as we push toward valley play.

Our bullpen is a issue.

Our bullpen is a issue.
Until our baseball season becomes a mirror image of our basketball season, I will remain optimistic.

Here's why I don't think our bullpen is an issue (yet)...

We have five relievers who've pitched in games this season who have a 0.00 ERA.
Our other relievers have given up 14 earned runs in four games. 13 of those vs three top-25 teams.
Surely coach Arch will see the error in his ways of starting Suriel or putting him in high-leverage relieving situations.

Let's see how we do vs some other mid-major teams (ie this weekend) before we declare our bullpen as being one that is an issue.

Declaration official.

We need to start throwing our freshman pitchers out there in relief. Couldn’t be less effective than our veteran guys.

BTW, won second game vs FGCU 5-4 before heading out to sea. Got an early lead and held on the last three innings for the win.

Need more from Parson than he’s given us this season. ERA of 12 through his first two starts and has given up 3 in the first against Penn State
