2026 Baseball Season

currently 4-2 in conference with Murray leading at 6-0.

Losing two games to Valpo and Bradley was not good, as the top teams will probably sweep one or both of them.

Because of those loses I don’t know how realistic our path is to first place but I think we can still finish in the top three and hopefully be a tough out in the MVC tourney.

Case in point: Murray State is 6-0 and has sweeps over Valpo and Bradley.

Wind seems to be playing a big factor in today's game. Sycamores have 4 HRs through 4 innings including 2 by Mason Roell and 3 in the 3rd inning alone.

UIC with 2 HRs as well.

In the bottom of the 5th, Trees lead 8-6

We are up 13-9 in seventh inning. No one in this conference has any pitching depth. It's sad. The P4 teams must have collected all the good pitchers and they throw about one inning a week.

Got some help today from Belmont and SIU. Have a chance to be tied for either 1st or 2nd after tomorrow.

Also, I've seen a player lose their grip on a bat before, but I've never seen it happen to the same player twice on back to back pitches. The TV broadcast did not do justice to how far that bat flew. Someone ask Jason to check his backyard for it lol

Well.....I figured we had a strong chance to sweep today with Brooks on the mound, but NOPE. Brooks gets chased in the 3rd without recording an out and UIC is crushing our pitching. Flames lead 10-0 with 1 out in the top of the 3rd.....yikes

Make that now 12-0 still one out in 3rd

Way too inconsistent this year. We're lucky the Valley is as terrible as it is, we should still be a top 4 seed come tournament time.
