Before the IU Game - our RPI (Warren Nolan) was at 199 and Illinois State was 116.
Today, ISU is 144 and Ill State is 141.... not too bad for a week of Baseball! Imagine if the IU game was played without 20mph winds blowing out to LC.
 
Crazy tight MVC race coming down turn #3. Murray: 10-5
UIC 10-5
Indiana State 8-4
Evansville 8-4
Southern 7-5

We could have used more help on our off weekend. Murray went 3-0 against ILSU with a 1-0 win and 6-5. Would have been perfect for ILSU to win one of those.

UIC went 3-0 vs last place Valpo but escaped with a 4-3 victory and 5-4 in 12 innings. Would have been huge for Valpo to pick em off on one of those. But it didn’t happen.

We have 4 series left and they are all pretty massive as 3 are against the top 4 (excluding us). Evansville, Southern, Murray, and Belmont. We could either put ourselves in prime position or be out of the race. We did go 2-1 against UIC which was pretty big

Would have also helped if our bullpen had anyone that could throw more than 4 strikes per inning lol

Gonzaga is currently 35th in RPI (solidly in at-large range), the WCC average is 188 with 6/10 teams under 200. In the past 5 years, the Zags have been better than 30th twice and worse than 150th 3 times. Looks like we just caught them on one of their good years

I wouldn’t consider a 27-11 team with a 54 RPI in the “lock” category with any series win at this point in the season. They are fighting for an at-large, they don’t have a ton of margin for error, but they also get the benefit of P4 and will continue to get opportunities “just because”. I say, beat them and really put pressure on them. We are 1-0 against them already this season
 
Anything after the 5th is considered an official game. PU coaching staff is going to stay out there until midnight if need be

Huge weekend series, hope we’re able to keep the conference series wins going. I think if this team is going to win the regular season title, will have to sweep eventually, hopefully it’s the Aces
