Nice to sneak out the win!

With Murray off this week and Evansville knocking off UIC it is still an complete log jam at the top of the valley with Murray, ISU, EU, and UIC. ILSU isn't too far behind either has an outside shot of making things interesting if they go undefeated the rest of the way.

Yup, out bats are top notch. It’s all the other facets that aren’t ask crisp as our recent teams.

I will say Hannah’s last teams were top NCAA teams. We weren’t doing that ever year regardless of staff

That was a great game to watch. Glad we won, but leaving too many guys left on base without scoring.

Good game for the Sycamores through 6. Defense have been outstanding, turning 3 Double Plays so far. Pen doing their job as well. Had bases loaded in the 5th no outs, and no runs. Team is really playing well these days.

Now tied for first again with UIC and Murray State after their off-weekend where they got swept by Purdue.

We have Murray State and Belmont to close out the season
Murray has us and Evansville
UIC has Illinois State and Bradley

As tight as it gets coming around turn #4 for the regular season title.

MASSIVE series next week down in Kentucky. With Murray’s CWS run last year and just our pedigree of being one of, if not the best Midwest program the last 10 years, maybe that could leverage a nationally televised game in the series?

now would be a good time to get that elusive sweep this season

The Redbirds are effectively out, being a series ahead of everyone else with only 1 MVC series remaining against UIC next weekend, Illinois State mathematically cannot exceed 15 wins.

For us, we have to sweep Belmont in two weeks. No questions or excuses. We are a better team now than we were when we dropped games to Bradley and Valpo.

Obviously 3-0 against Murray and there's no questions. 2-1 and we need Evansville to take at least 2 against the Racers. 1-2 and the best we can probably hope for is a tie that we lose the tie breaker on. 0-3 and we're just hoping to hold onto 3rd
