So, I was taking a look at RPI Rankings again... I know it doesn't matter much at this point.
IU is 118/119
ISU is 124

Who will finish higher?
Who will finish with a better record vs the Big 10? That's pretty easy question! IU is 8-20 vs Big 10

We won't finish higher than Purdue though... they are up around 50.... so definitely won't be the highest ranked Indiana school... (Notre Dame in 70s)

I wonder how much higher we would be if we didn’t have losses to both Bradley and Valpo who are 290 and 297 out of 308 in RPI
 
Brooks was pitching well.....until he wasn't. That was one of the fastest collapses I have ever seen and it hasn't stopped no matter what pitcher we have brought in. Its like they know what pitch is coming and crushing them. Our pitching has to get better if we want to improve next season.

Just terribly disappointing what has happened to the baseball program. The only reason our record is decent this year is because the MVC is absolutely dreadful. I hope we can get back to where we were a few years ago, but it will be nearly impossible with the new college athletic landscape.

I don’t remember who said it, but a month or so ago someone said this offense rivaled offenses of some of our previous NCAA tournament teams. While that may be so statistically, competition was much higher back then. I think we went 21-3 in the MVC that year. This years team has been consistently inconsistent, especially when it comes to pitching

UIC gonna win tonight against Bradley.

Pretty crazy that we could win every series, but still not win the regular season title.
 
Last night’s loss was a bummer but we did clinch a 1st round bye.

#1 seed is in doubt but still possible with a win plus a UIC loss.

Sometimes a gut wrenching loss can become fuel for future wins.

It is interesting that Sycamores' have only won regular season thrice.

Stings knowing UIC lost today but also going 5-4 against the bottom 3 teams of a bad conference tell me we didn't deserve to win the regular season title. UIC also didn't deserve to win the regular season title. Actually nobody in this conference deserved the title.

Time to move on and look forward as this team does have just as good of chance winning the tournament as anyone. If they do that and earn a bid, all is forgiven for this horrible weekend. Good news is we went 5-4 against teams that won't be there and 10-5 against teams that will. Should be a pretty fun tournament to follow as it's about as wide open as you can get with a slight advantage to the Sycs and Flames with some arm saving because of the byes.
 
I read the call in the 7th was a ball. Can anyone at the game describe what that experience was?
