Hunter will be in action with his Silver Creek Teammates at the Hall of Fame Classic in New Castle on Dec. 23rd.

The Northview Knights have also been honored with an invitation to play for the second time in the Hall of Fame Classic meeting Mt. Vernon as their initial opponent.

The 2025 Indiana Hall of Fame Classic will be held at the New Castle Fieldhouse on December 22nd (girls) and 23rd (boys). The girls' games will feature Warsaw vs. Evansville Central, followed by Norwell vs. Plainfield. The boys' games will have Mt. Vernon (F) vs. Northview, followed by Silver Creek vs. Crown Point.

Northview finished 24-3 in 2024-25 losing to Indianapolis Crispus Attucks (#6 open rankings team in Indiana) by 11 in the regional. It won the Wabash Valley Classic downing TH North by 11 on its home floor. It defeated TH North again in a home game later in the season. TH North was ranked 12-16 in Indiana most of the season.

It loses one senior who started and played a lot (6'4" center Karson Fosdick) and one who was injured most of the year. I have learned that this summer returning Senior Christian Bryant is transferring to TH South). He was first off the bench this past season and is a real sharpshooter. It remains to be learned if Northview will find a suitable replacement for his shooting skills.

First, start with Coach Shawn Nevill who has instilled a confident toughness into his team in his two years in Brazil.

The Knights are undersized unless someone shoots up a lot or someone moves into town. This summer Northview has been playing an array of the top 4A teams from the Indianapolis area and holding its own.

6'4" Peyton McCollom played a lot of minutes last season splitting time with Fosdick and should control the pivot.
6'1" Brayden Goff, son of former TH North star and Indiana All-Star Alan Goff, is Mr. Everything at Northview leading the team in points, assists and rebounds. He is being recruited at the NAIA level. He is a rising senior as is Avery Perry who also stands 6'1".

Perry is just a very good all-around athlete. He started as the varsity catcher on the baseball team after starring as a wide receiver in FB and a first off the bench sub in varsity basketball. A severe shoulder injury caused him to miss all three sports his sophomore season, but he returned even better last year as a junior, but didn't play baseball due to the arm injury I believe. I think his best sport is football as he is both fast and quick, can jump and can catch in a crowd plus he plays defense. On the court, he is a tenacious defender against players much taller than he is.

Treyvan (sp?) Buis is a rising junior. Only 5'11", Buis has an uncanny ability to penetrate into the trees and still get off a successful twisting layup or fall away.

The Knights had some quality freshmen who saw a lot of varsity time last season. Chief among them is Quinn Lewis who was 6'3" last season and may be that player who brings some extra size this season. He was a starter by midseason and highly efficient both offensively and defensively. He has a considerable upside.

Another is Jake Raetz, son of Northview FB Coach Mark Raetz, who also is 6'3" as of last March and saw a lot of quality time but not at the same level as Lewis.
There are others who are returning who all contributed at key moments last season.

And looking ahead, the freshman class just completed a 58-0 run in middle school's 6-7-8th grade seasons, so it appears there might be some playing time pressure from freshmen again this season.

I forgot to mention that Quinn Lewis was also a starting wide receiver last fall and the starting varsity shortstop this spring. In many ways, he is a lot like Avery Perry but a bit taller.
