Wouldn't wanna be in the locker room post-game...
Turning point of the game is when the UE Coach got into
the Plate Umpire's head on ball/strike calls in the top of the 9th. Should've been
ejected for contesting the strike zone, which is not a DEBATABLE issue under ANY rules! Instead, the "wimp" gave him a "written warning," which is literal bullshit in any book. Hannah's should've been out of the dugout QUESTIONING
why he wasn't ejected! It's HIS home field...if he doesn't protect it, who will?
Also didn't think McKinney was warmed up yet, thus struggling w/ his strike zone in relief. Add that to a Plate Umpire
afraid to call the corners after being chastised by the Aces HC and PRESTO - 3 quick runs.
With Bradley def. SIU, we're still 1/2 game ahead in 2nd Place.

***If ISU doesn't quit trying to hit HR's on EVERY swing, expect a QUICK exit in the MVC Tourney. Wonder if anyone's ever explained the idea of of
level swing and its relationship to BALL CONTACT ANGLE?
***Hannahs switched his series rotation, moving Ward from #2 to #1...which means that we'll be throwing lefties Keaffaber & Rivers on consecutive games. Not sure how this will pan out v. UE.
***I
withdraw my prior assessment re: Tyler Friis #1 ISU status re: "bunting ability." Last night in his 1st three AB's, his attempted bunts were HORRIBLE, more like a Girls SB "swinging bunt!" The ISU artificial infield makes perfecting this skill difficult (no tall grass to
slow the row OR sloped baselines to keep the ball in play). In essence, you've got to CUSHION the ball/bat contact. This is the 3rd straight series I've witnessed Friis' problem.
Gonna watch Shox-DBU now - DBU now up 5-4 in top of 9th. They were down 4-0 early in game - scored three (3) runs on SF's! Final - DBU is now regular season MVC champ.
