THE ROAD TO TERRE HAUTE: Minter will be joined at Indiana State by former Marshall linebacker Phil Walker, who has transferred to the Sycamores' football program. Besides Walker, two other former Marshall defensive players had hoped to join Minter at Indiana State.

Cornerback T.J. Drakeford, who was dismissed from the Herd squad during spring practice, sought to transfer, but reportedly was turned down for admission because of a transcript problem. Also, linebacker Quan Fletcher looked into joining the Sycamores, but was forced to go the junior college route because of academics.
Wonder if the Quan Fletcher kid will end up here after getting his academics in order? Sounds to me like these kids really think highly of Minter.

Phi Walker was a two-star prospect on Rivals. He also had offers from Akron, Central Michigan, Middle Tennessee, Northern Illinois, Syracuse and Tulsa.

Quan Fletcher was a 3-star kid on Rivals. He also had offers from Colorado State, Purdue, Tennessee and UCF.

Not sure we'd touch the Drakeford kid. He was suspended because he got into fights in bars and then subsequently accosted an officer and resisted arrest.
