The Recruit Level
Hi Sycamore fans. I ran one of these a couple years ago and thought I would dust it off for this season. Hope to see some of you come aboard.

Pigskin Parlay (formerly Pigskin Prognosticator) returns for the 2014 campaign with expanded scope out to the Big Sky, CAA, MVFC, and OVC conferences. There is a separate contest for each conference (feel free to register and play in them all to increase your chances of winning). Total of 15 games per week to include all conference team games plus enough top matchups drawn from the other conferences to fill the slate. Once intra-conference games get underway, the slate will probably be cut back to 12 games. The Saturday 8/23 FCS kickoff game between Sam Houston State and Eastern Washington is on the week 1 slate. We still have a PowerPick and StatPick game each week to make things interesting. NEW features include integrated Massey game pick help along with stat-based spider and tree map charts for the conference team matchups. And of course the season would not be complete without an FCS playoff bracket challenge with potential added reward for those who played each week of the regular season. THERE IS ABSOLUTELY NO COST OR HIDDEN FEES TO PLAY PIGSKIN PARLAY. The only thing you must give up is a few minutes of your time each week and your email address so I can deliver the goods. What are the goods? The weekly "All Conferences" winner gets $50 restaurant gift certificate and other conference winners get $25 certificate. Overall conference regular season winners get $50. I am also willing to donate winnings in your name to your favorite team "Booster Club" or other charity.

So give Pigskin Parlay a shot. I have added a "Guest" player account (password=guest) so you can take it for a trial spin:

P.S. This project is 100% Google Docs and 99.44% purely a labor of love for a now retired IT guy and WIU Leatherneck fan who needs to keep his computer skills reasonably sharp just in case he needs to come off the bench and get back in the game. That guy is keeping his fingers crossed that some day he will have this project running itself so he can spend more time traveling around the country to follow his favorite team.

MVFC Pigskin Parlay is back again for 2015. I am doing just the one conference (Missouri Valley) contest this year although there will be a few games to pick from other conferences each week. Lots of new stuff. The game pick form has been streamlined and made more friendly on mobile devices. Also, you can now augment your weekly game pick points with a few extra bonus referral reward points by getting some of your family, friends and colleagues to join in. The pick form includes the Massey Matchup spread for all games just in case you need a little extra help. Last year, we had a Survivor contest and it returns in Week #5 with a bevy of other "sidebet" games along the way that will always keep you on your toes. We kick off the season with a sidebet called Quick Draw McGraw that matches your pick wits and finger dexterity skills against the likes of MisterMassey and the other players. With a separate sidebet game always in play, there will be at least two $25 e-gift certificate winners each and every week. Tentatively, I am considering a special "Social Group Shootout" contest for Week #7 ($100 group reward) if there are a few reasonably-sized referral groups in the player mix. The top three finishers in the regular season point total race will receive $100, $75, and $50. And of course, we will finish off the season with an FCS Playoff Pool (rewards TBD) where hopefully two Missouri Valley teams will once again square off to take home all of the marbles. Last but not least, there is absolutely no cost to play and never will be.

I am not at all picky when it comes to a spot for the contest winners to cash in their victory rewards. The registration page includes a long list, among them favorites for guys and gals alike. If your favorite is not there, I will do my best to get you and/or your reward where you would like you/it to go, including charitable organizations in your name.

That is all. I hope to see a few of you in the contest again this year. Here is the link to the web page to get started (click on "Register/Submit Week 1 Predictions" and then "Register Now"):

I am bringing it back for the 2016 season. Pretty much the same as last year but I added a new preseason poll as the week 1 sidebet. No cost to play and you can earn weekly e-gift rewards to a variety of restaurants and stores of your choosing. The more you play during the regular season, the more you can potentially earn in the FCS Playoff Pool. The link below will get you started (click on Register/Submit Week 1 Predictions and then Register as a new player). Good luck!

Back Again for 2017

I already have a few of you signed up because you played last year and got the early word. For others, the MVFC Pigkskin Parlay online pick'em contest is back again this fall. Chances to win e-gift certificates to restaurants, stores, and online shopping services. It will not cost you one plugged nickel to play. Twelve games to pick each week with a few thrown in from Big Sky, CAA, and OVC conferences. Most weeks, I also have a sidebet game which offers additional rewards. There is an FCS playoff bracket challenge at the end and the more you play during the regular season, the more you can potentially win for it. Below is the link to get the ball rolling. From that web page, you can click on the "Help" link (bottom right) to get more info about rules, scoring system, and rewards. If you are interested in playing, just click on the "Register/Submit Week 1 Predictions" link on that page and register as a new user to get started.
