Remembering back in the day that even if a cellphone existed it would have been sent back home on day one in your civilian gym bag via REA along with other comforts from home that you thought you needed until the drill instructors got ahold of you & convinced you that you didn't. Wonder how many on here even know what REA was? Don't think the military is as strict anymore...........hell, even saw somewhere recently that they don't yell now, just teach?
 
Ha I remember being sent a care package of fudge and cookies. The DI said I can't refuse you the chance to eat it. So you got 30 seconds to finish it . Which I could not. So it was time to exercise wearing a little fudge. Talk about a sick private lol.
