well deserved and again, these are "no brainer" selections! I'd bet they'd trade the honor for a spot in the playoffs though?

I hope the Quincy game in 2012 doesn't hurt ISU's chances to make the I-AA playoffs

Big Bad Ben and Mr. Bell both made the AP FIRST TEAM ALL AMERICAN SQUAD
I'm not sure if this is the same list on CNN/SI or not, if so sorry, but pretty cool to have 2 of our boys as 1st team all americans, and by the AP too!

And the headline on ESPN.com says "Indiana State's Bell Leads FCS All-America Team" Pretty cool!
I think he has a real shot at the Peyton award. The two QB's seem to be swopping spots on All-American teams, so neither of them seem to be clearly above the other. He's first team on every list that I've seen.

Yeah, CNN.SI was running the AP FCS All-America team.....

on their website just like ESPN.com was doing. But to have two first-team All-Americans, one of only five FCS schools in the nation to do that, is pretty damn impressive. What's even more impressive is both of those guys are from the state of Indiana -- one a highly noted but lightly recruited running back and the other an under recruited but outstanding overall athlete who was a running back in high school but made the switch to defensive end.

Congrats to Ben and Shakir!

As to the Payton, I think Bell will finish 3rd, unfortunately.

I think the only soph to win the Payton was Adrian Peterson when Ga Southern won the National title; all of the other winners have been Jrs or Srs. QBs have also won 14 of the 24 Payton Awards...

Still pulling him to win it, just think the voters won't do it

Impressive, but deserved and because of that it should be expected. Bell was the best RB in the FCS this year and Obaseki was as good as any DE in the country.
