Anyone have a recommendation? Been fighting with insurance over a roof claim and I've activated the appraisal/arbitration clause.

Wish I could help. Fought with BoA for two years before I got my money. So obviously I don’t have any insight. Good luck!

Get an attorney that specializes in roofing claims. They will get a public adjuster to inspect your roof, and if it’s a legitimate claim, they will call for another inspection from your insurance company. This time, the public adjuster will meet with the insurance adjuster to represent you. Usually the public adjuster is a roofer as well. Attorney ads his fee to the claim, and your only out of pocket is your deductible.
Of course, your roof needs to be damaged in order for this process to work.

Call a reputable roofer and they can guide you on the process and help get the claim approved. Where are you located I might be able to help you.

We're past that point....it's been a year and we had an estimate from guarantee since last July. The problem is in their misrepresentation of my policy which has a roof replacement cost coverage for wind and hail. The insurance won't acknowledge I had that clause and are only applying ACV. The attached garage sustained about 80% of the damage but I contend 1) the RCV applies and 2) the damage is enough to kick in a replacement of the whole roof. After 8 months of requesting a second inspection, and 2 changes in desk adjusters, insurance sent another adjuster out who cited rodent damage to shingles...the shingles in question were bent up from the windstorm.
My request for arbitration/assessment is to have the RCV coverage applied. If they won't after arbitration/assessment, or they do but cite timelines to underpay, I'm taking it to court for bad faith.

My opinion of insurance companies is not the same as casinos, but close. It is advisable to have some dealing with insurance. They both are in the business of collecting money, and sometimes they have to pay out.
