It was a great week for the FCS. Very impressive wins by William & Mary and Richmond. UNI should have beaten Top 25 ranked Iowa and teams like Appy State,EKU,SIU and Umass all had chances for huge upsets. Not to mention us giving UofL a big scare.
 
Don't forget you can watch pretty good college football today with Cincy vs Rutgers and Miami vs FSU tonight.
 
A good friend of mine is a DIEHARD UC fan and he said the fan base is realy excited about this years team, maybe even more so than the past few years with the success they have had lately. Brian Kelly is one of the best "under the radar" coaches in America.

Miami / FSU game was one of the best games I have watched in a while. Tremendous long pass caught late in the game for Miami set up their final score and held on the goalline for the victory. Had me hooked until late in the night. What a great weekend.
 
Old Dominion (ODU) played their first football game in 69 years; beat Chowan (NC), a Div II (CIAA) team 36-21.

Couple of ODU alumni in the office -- they way they yap, you'd think that ODU has been playing for the past 70 seasons...

That's part of the problem living here in C'ville; it's either All ACC all the time or a bunch of CAA knuckleheads yapping...

Oh, to be back in MVFC/B10 country!
 
Speaking of Cinci....Miami (OH) looked pretty bad against Kentucky. I thought Miami would have a chance, but they got killed.

Gotta agree with you on the Miami/FSU game last nite, great game! Lots of big plays and you gotta love games that come down to the very last play. Both QB's looked good.
