7-1 Sycs..top of 9th; Rhino threw his 2nd consecutive nice game & ISU was productive in not leaving a horde of LOB's. "Sanding room-only crowd," which is why these two squads should play home/away EVERY year. It's simply good for college baseball in the Hoosier State.

7-11-0
3- 6-1

Good to see the LHP Polley (Soph) come back strong after serving up a 2-run HR to IU in the final frame. He SO the final 3 batters!

ISU's RPI is #146...as I've mentioned previously, RPI is meaningless for MVC this year. The ONLY ticket to the "dance" will be the post-season winner and MAYBE the regular season winner. I use "maybe" very lightly. Also, the forthcoming games w/ Big Ten foe Illinois (#229; 6-16) and Purdue (#93; 13-11) will doubtfully have any impact other than "ego elevation."

MVC RPI/Records:

#40 Mo St (15-9)

#57 DBU (15-9)
-------------------------------NCAA Consideration Cutoff
#74 Bradley (6-12)

#129 Shox (11-13)

#146 IN St. (12-9)

#192 IL St (7-15)

#207 UE (8-17)

#237 SIU (12-14)

Unfortunately folks, it's a DOWN yr. in MVC Baseball (from a NATIONAL perspective). But it's still always a pleasure to kick our neighboring Big Ten school asses!
