will be a GREAT addition for Terre Haute. a constant reminder that one of the greatest players of all-time played here.

Awesome looking statue. Was in Terre Haute about a week ago and saw the spot where they are putting the statue and I think it's going in the perfect place.

Anyone going to the Pacers game/alumni event tomorrow?
Never heard about the alumni event so no because it is too late to figure out something with the kids. Was told I'd be in the loop to announce the alumni event on here and never heard back -- figured they just decided not to have something.

They are having it at Oreillys Irish Bar, 36 South Penn. Never heard anything since the original e-mail so I had forgotten about it.

I know we ALL hope that whatever "reason" that has kept Larry Bird from Indiana State for the past decade or so, has been mended and that we may see MORE from LB in the future. Just saw an interview on Indy TV where Larry was stating that "he was honored to be able to play basketball at an institution where I felt very comfortable and where I was not only able to do well on the court but off the court as well." Guys, you can't put a value on a comment like that. It would seem the "ice age" has come to an end. Let's hope so. Last number I heard on the dollars involved next weekend were approaching $750,000. Congrats to the Sycamore Athletic Foundation for pulling off one of the biggest events in ISU history. I only wish I could do more than attend the ball game the day after.

Saw the pics during the Pacers game on tv and it's also getting a lot of air time on local news here...a buddy of mine said it was showed on ESPN's Mike & Mike this morning. I also saw a interview with Larry and he was very honored and it seemed like any bad blood may have eased or even passed. It looks great!
