I would add, I hope he has the courage to continue kneeling at every game. I applaud him standing up to so much hate from people who don't get what he's taking a stand against.

I'm not a big Bobby Knight fan but I totally agree with him here. It is a distraction to the team and I'm sure is causing some stress in the locker room. If he wants to protest go down to the police station and protest there. There are definitely problems that need addressed but doing it during the national anthem is not the right place. I'm tired of the whole mess and have decided I'm not gonna watch any NFL game but the Colts. I'm not supporting that behavior. I just purchased 4 season tickets for the men's basketball team (almost $2,000) and if our players pull this stunt I will walk out.

Would you applaud me, or call me a piece of shit for bringing a Confederate Flag to a Football game and waving it?
 
I wonder if we debated the validity behind the protest rather than if he/they should protest it might be more productive. I personally will never care if a person stands for the flag other than myself...maybe my kids while they are young.

Courage my freckled ass this kid and all who refuse to stand are the pieces of shit Let the little mother fuckers kneel while being shot at then you have something to protest otherwise stand up take off your hat and be quiet and respectful for 2 minutes . This country is allowing pussies to do bullshit like this is why we have the problems we do .

You may be liberal on some issues, but conservatives are usually more patriotic. There were a lot of liberals that were happy on 9/11. I can't stand anyone disrespecting the flag. If they don't like it here, they can get out.

If nothing else this whole thread (and the hundreds of others on the web) demonstrates why Kapernick chose to do it in the first place. I can't think of anything else he could have done that would have drawn more attention for his cause. Several weeks later and it's still being talked about.

Personally, I don't get the attention. It's not like he interrupted the national anthem, yelled or did something outlandish to draw attention to himself. He sat. He didn't bother anyone with it, just sat. Still can't believe it is being talked about a month later.
