If you're right I guess we chose Crawford over Bouchie OR did not want to wait and take the chance of losing Crawford.

Bouchie can't play next season (transfer rule); Crawford can. If Bouchie was insecure about playing time after next year, maybe he made a good choice in going to Evansville. He would have had to compete for it with the Sycamores!

here is Golden's take on the situation with Bouchie. I am ok with Bouchie going to E-ville if it helps them in the long run, as long as ISU stays ahead of them though! I am sure ISU will get a good recruit at some point with the last scholarship, it may even be in 2009, who knows??

If it came down to Bouchie and Crawford, I think we came out ahead. Only time can tell though. I think the big appeal with Bouchie was that he was a somewhat local kid. Talent wise it appears that Crawford maybe a step up on Bouchie. Don't get me wrong, I'd have loved to have both of them, but I don't think anybody can say we lost. Crawford should be a hell of a player on the inside for us.

One was an Iowa recruit and the other Valpo. I think that says a lot about Crawford's prospects over Bouchie.

Having both would have been awesome though.

Definitely Glad!

That is a 2 player swing. If we would have signed Bouchie then lost Crawford. Now maybe it blows over and he gets a slap on the wrist and everyone forgets about it by the time he is eligble to play...or maybe its another sign of his character.
