What happened to Brandon Pounds? He went into the conference meet as the NATIONAL leader in the weight throw and among the best in the shot put. He struggled with fouls during the weight throw competition and, as I recall, finished 7th. Apparently he did not participate at all in the shot put. Is he injured? Will he be able to go to the NCAA meet?

I wasn't able to find out either Sage, it was very weird, 5 fouls and one throw, that can't even be considered a good throw for him. It was really weird.

And I believe he can't throw the Shot Put anymore due to a hand injury from a couple years ago.

Fortunately we have Derek Bunch in the shot. He is a freshman and was the MVC champion Sunday!

Just a bad weekend for him - things didn't work out! Good news was, it didn't
cost us a team Championship.
