Talk about insane privilege. LeBron wanted his Griffey moment and the Lakers made it happen.

Dude is a mentally weak franchise killer.

I don't agree with franchise killer. It's not that insane of a privilege. Nepotism is in the NBA everywhere. Bronny can hoop and college stats are meaningless. Some people's game are better fit for Pro's. What actually helped Bronny besides his advantage was his combine reslts and this was a weak draft.

We'll agree to disagree.

James WAS great. I believe his greatness stopped when he left Cleveland the second time. Yes, he won the title in 2020 but that was a gift from the Heat and the Eastern Conference. The Lakers have appeased him at every turn, basically opting for "yes men" while he has been a defacto player-coach. Then after the buddies he bring in suck, the coaches end up taking the heat while he plays the "woe is me" card and is never to blame.

Most physically impressive athlete to ever play and dude should have 8+ titles but doesn't have the mental fortitude or personal accountability that the actual GOATs did.

That's fine, I had this debate with plenty people and I know how teams draft. I know everything that had to go Bronny's way to get his name called.

Realistically the Heat should of never made it to the finals in 2020 but that's not something anybody controls. I don't agree that it stopped in Cleveland the second time however I do think the slow down, even though it really isn't that much of a slow down, started in 2019 when he got hurt. LeBron was trying to pass the torch to AD but AD didn't want it. It's on the Front Office/Coaching more so than LeBron with bringing in his "buddies". If you're going to Bring in a player does he fit? Then if you are you going to tweak your offense/defense for that players skillset? Lakers did neither. What exactly is he not taking blame for though? Now to LeBron (40) in the game itself he does have some interesting choices he makes but I understand why. I don't agree with most of those choices. I agree most physically impressive athlete but no way he was ever going to have 8+ titles. 6 or 7 at best. We can look at the losses but are you saying all are his fault?

2007 - Him vs Spurs - Never was going to happen and had no business making the finals with that sorry Cavs team and he played well.
2011 - Had no business losing to the Mavs and he is on the record saying he played like trash - Should of had a title here.
2014 - LeBron played really well for the series. Had 1 subpar game. Also Game 1 was the cramping game. This was Kawhi Leonard's coming out party that no one expected. D-Wade was not good but also a shell of himself for the first time.
2015 - Love and Irving out and he still had a monster series- Probably has a title if both were healthy and playing but who's at fault?
2017 - Warriors with KD - Nobody was beating them
2018 - Warriors with KD - Nobody was beating them

If LeBron played well and his team didn't or key player(s) didn't is that LeBron's fault? BTW I'm not even a LeBron fan. I watch a lot of NBA.

I guess it all comes down to the question is does he have NBA level talent. IMHO he isn't even close

If you watched a lot of NBA you would know the answer is yes.

His stats are not anywhere close to being NBA caliber. He was drafted because the Lakers wanted to throw LeBron a bone, plain and simple. Depending on how soon LeBron retires he might be the first NBA player to "retire" from the league before his pops.

@jturner38 can you tell us the last time a 6' 2" freshman that started 6 games for a bad team, averaged 4.8 ppg on .366/.267/.676 got drafted in the first round? Or even at all?

College stats mean nothing. I can give you a bunch of players who average a lot in college and were a bust in the NBA and I can give you players who avg very little and was successful.

For one, Bronny didn’t go in the first round. The Bucks just drafted AJ Johnson and guess what he avg 2.9 points a game. As I said this entire time, Bronny got drafted for 3 reasons. His dad, combine results, and this was weak draft. The NBA doesn’t draft the 60 best players. He isn’t going be a superstar. He will be a role player and that’s NBA talent.

I saw a couple comments from anonymous scouts who were at the combine that said Bronny was not an NBA talent

That’s 2 out of 30. I don’t know the exact number of scouts but let’s assume every team has at least 1. Still good odds and I would take NBA scouts analysis with a grain of salt. You should see their analysis of players who are successful. 2nd round picks don’t have guaranteed contracts unlike 1st round players. Everyone should understand there is different tiers in the NBA.
