The following is from the Gridiron Digest College forum centering around a Butler/Marian possibility.

Yeah, I've also heard that Marian wanted to play and Butler won't, don't know why. Maybe because Butler had a bunch of weak non-conference game contracts that were signed with the former head coach that are finally expiring and now they are scheduling teams like Youngstown St. ('10), Indiana St. ('11), and Darthmouth ('12).

Can the ISU game be confirmed or is it just a rumor at this point in time?

Marian would beat Butler. Marian offers athletic scholarships and they recruit the same players, therefore Butler does not want to lose to Marian...... Butler would rather play Hanover.
