Chicago State to explore the addition of a Division I football program

What a bizarre university. I can't believe they've managed to keep the lights on, but Illinois loves blowing money they don't have. Now they might add a football team. Guessing it's so maybe a conference will take them (maybe OVC?) as they are an independent now after getting axed from the WAC and the Summit League before that. Who in their right mind would even want to go to a college located in the southside of Chicago?
