great little right up in there. nice to see us get attention amongst all of the bcs schools. there were only a handful of mid-majors in there.
 
Hardly any mid-majors represented on the list.Jake is going to be on everybodies radar next season.Should be fun watching him mature as he becomes a marked man every time out.With his ability he will do just fine in my opinion.

Regardless, its nice to be mentioned in the same sentence as the guy, right? I mean he was just a freshman last year - pretty lofty expectations on the kid. I got a hunch that he wont disappoint. lol

Who's going to take the over and who's going to take the under on how many game winners he hits this year? The magic number is 3. Over or under?
 
I just hope people don't start expecting TOO much from him, especially if the team goes through a rough patch next season at any point.

Yeah I think that's a fair point, but knowing Jake personally I'm not sure he'd want it any other way you know? That's kinda the price that comes with being a big time player, just ask Kobe - ask Lebron, ask any player that's been THAT GUY! People are going to expect TOO much from him, it's bound to happen and heck it's probably already happened around here.

Remember last year when he passed up a layup vs. MSU on the road, tried to make a pass to Carl late in the game? I believe it would have tied the game - people were quick to criticize him. It's part of the territory, he made people forget about that really quickly.
 
He will go through rough patches like everyone else next season no doubt but what matters its how he learns from it. Last year he went through a mini rough patch in conference play (had an injury that didnt help matters much either) but he bounced back and raised his level of play even higher then it was before his slump. Thats the mark of a good player.

I truly do believe he will lead us to places we havent seen in a lonnggg time. People who doubt him need to remember he was just a FR last season and he just showed us a glimpse of what he can do. Not many FR led mid major teams make the big dance. The last I remember was Butler when they had mack, norad, and hayward as FR with howard as a soph... and we all know what they went on to do. Not saying we will get to a title game but dont be surpised to see us make a deep run one year if 13 gets some help from his friends! Is is october yet?????

The great thing is: he is THAT good. I have already decided I'm going to more games this year than I've been to in a long time because of the exciting plays he will make. I want to be there to see them. It is not often ONE player makes that kind of difference to me. If there are many others like me, attendance numbers should be up.

He was a Redshirt FR... Does everyone still think it was a "mistake" to Redshirt him?
