What did you all think of the Colts this weekend? A couple of things jumped out at me. First off Reggie Wayne is an outstanding reciever, he is one of the top 3 in the league even though he had a down year last year. He learned so much from Marv, guys like him make their QB look really good.
I thought the new punter (can't even think of his name) did a fantastic job, pinning Jack inside their 10 twice. Special teams was really a bright spot for us, outside of that missed FG by AV, that guy has really fallen off from what he was in NE.
The running game was still poor in my opinion. We need to see more of Donald Brown, that guy has all the makings of a star. I am not so sure that are line does a very good job in run blocking situations, I mean if you can't get 1 yard on 2 caries to ice the game you aint going to win in the NFL. Something needs to be done!
The Deffence was excellent, to hold MJD under 100 yrds is fantastic! That is no simple task, he was one of the top 3 rbs taken in every fantasy football draft in the country because he flat out is Jack's only Off. and they did a great job on him. I thought the rookie DB from Auburn (Jarrad Powers) was excellent, he looks like he is a heck of a cover corner (a little undersized, but he makes up for it with his speed). I am really sick of this Bob Sanders situation, I mean he's a hell of a player when he is on the field no one will take that away from him. But 2006 was a long time ago, it's time to get healthy and stay healthy Bob. I doubt that it will ever happen, he's to undersized and plays to fast.
Hope Gonzo is ok, we really need a solid #2 WR behind Reggie and Dallas Clark.
We should have dominated this game, but 2 TO's inside are own 35 hurt pretty bad on top of that a missed FG. We usually don't win games like today.
