Just checked the polls at ESPN not ranked in the top 25, not even a damm vote!!! Come on we are 9-1, but its also how we are beating teams, doesn't that mean anything??? I look at our team we could just about play anyone on a neutral court as long as we are shooting well. When was the last time as a team we were shooting over %0% ?
I bet if u go back a few years ago when we had Creighton and the Shockers in our conference we definitely would have been rated.
We got 2 big games coming up, so will definitely be on the national stage, Ball State, and Michigan State. If we win both of those, we should then absolutely be in top 25.

What are your thoughts ?

Anyone catch my X interaction with Golden last week about his voting?

No, but the human element is the problem with both the coaches and AP poll. Curious what did you guys talk about?

There is no way that a beat writer that is doing a good job covering their program is able to watch enough college basketball to have a good idea on where 50-60 other programs are, how they're playing, etc. Now think about a college coach... there is no fucking way they are watching multiples games outside of their program and upcoming opponents for that week. It's also long been a running joke that GAs or someone else on the staff fill out the coaches ballot.

It's also no different than the preseason polls where they basically roll out the red carpet to blue bloods and power schools. When you bring this sort of thing up, you'll often here "Well, it doesn't matter" or "What's the big deal?" and more often than not it comes from these P5 chucklefucks that have every single advantage baked in for them. The whole reason why P5 schools have been able to do what they've done is through monopolizing the mainstream coverage and narratives in the ESPN and Internet eras.
