Strausborger Responsible for Two Runs

Strausborger's bunt and his speed resulted in two Ranger runs. First of all, his bunt was darn near perfect and had the throw not been wide, he may have beat it out anyway. His speed forced the hurried throw registered as an error. DeShields, who was on first and the beneficiary of the intended sacrifice, went to third on the error forced by Strausborger and scored on a sacrifice fly.

Strausborger scored from second base on a line drive single to centerfield. Only a runner with excellent speed could have accomplished that feat. He later made a great catch in right field.

Bottom Line: It was a great major league debut though it did not show up in the box score.
