Maybe I shouldn't start a new thread but oh well, just wanted to say congrats on a great season even though it didn't lead to the playoffs it was a success. Success leads to more success and that's the model we here at NDSU have followed for decades, build traditions and get some swagger going, that's mostly the reason NDSU fans get pegged as arrogant but successful programs have it, with time and support ISU will too!

Good things will happen and it's showing in your turn around there. I for some reason have always had a special place in my heart for you guys and would have loved seeing a playoff run.

Good luck in 2013 except for 1 game in Terre Haute. If there was 1 team to get beat by I'm glad it was the Sycamores #sycamorepride

Thanks - it was a season to build on for sure! Each of the past 3 seasons have been building blocks on one another - still would be nice to get the job done late in the season! Pretty tough pill for players, coaches and fans to swallow.

People that think that fans shouldn't be as passionate as they are obviously have no idea what it is to be a fan of something... You win hard and most of the time you lose hard. This was a hard way to end the season, you can't paint a pretty picture to the way this team has closed the last 3 seasons.

These seniors have raised the bar so far in their time at ISU.We have gone from discussions of completely giving up football to 3 winning years in a row.Even though none of them ended as we had hoped they were still successful compared to the recent past.

Coach Miles will continue to improve the program and the last 3 years should lead to better recruiting classes in the future.We know we need more good players to have more success and I believe we will.

Once again,thanks to this years' seniors for putting ISU back on track for a successful football program that we can be proud of.

I agree 100% with Hans1950, dissapointed yes, but we are definately on the right-track. The term baby steps was used on this forum frequently, but now we have taken great strides. Keeping Miles is job #! and continuing to increase the recruiting base is job #2. The expections grew exponentially this season and maybe became unrealistic in a sense. We overachieved, won on the road, which we have not done consistantly in recent years, and put a product on the field that gained respect in the conference and the nation. We have not taken shortcuts, have recruited quality people, not skunks, and have done things the right way. Support this program with donations, pride, loyalty, and watch it grew. We are headed in the right directions!!!!
