Dan Dakich was very complimentary of the Sycamores just now on ESPN2. Called an upset for State. Mentioned Odum in particular, talked about Kelly, Carter, and they referred to Walker as our only big at 6'8".

WOW. Later in the show they were featuring some players to watch in the tourney....ODUM. Called him a baller, showed several highlights including the through the legs dribble. Mentioned he was from Terre Haute, a red shirt freshman, showed his stats on the screen.

ISU! ISU! ISU!

That's awesome a little exposure is great for these guys...What show was this?

I didn't catch the official name (a lot of my attention was diverted to this site) but it was Dakich and another guy and they basically went through the whole field for a half hour.

I never really did like Dakich mainly because of his radio show. He acts like a real prick. I guess you kinda have to but he earned a few brownie points picking the Trees in the first round..

LOL I hope the kid reads "Abraham Lincoln:Vampire Hunter" before the game and decides to write this game as, "Jake Odum: 2-3 Zone Killer"

I may be stupid but when have we faced a zone this season? Dakich says we face it all the time and are built to beat it but the only time I can think of anyone playing zone against us was Morehead State and that did not go so well. Still love the pick though lol

I do believe we faced it a few times in conference but type wise we are built to beat it...against Morehead what hurt us was our inability to get out of that trapping d.

We did not handle the ball well at all against Moorehead . We have to handle the ball (limited turnovers) , rebound which will be tough against their big guys, and we haev to shoot the best percentage shot if its a three so be it but we dont have to live by the three to win it .

I never saw it. Might of been on the road a few times but every home game I went to teams didnt throw a zone at us. I just was pointing it out because Dakich made it sound like we go up against a zone all the time which is not the case. I do agree Moreheads pressure is what bothered us. We got some great looks against their half court zone but the turnovers from their pressure is what killed us.

Even if we have seen a zone defense, I think it's safe to say we haven't seen one with the quality of Syracuse. It will be a challenge.
