I watched the last 2 innings last night after the MSU / SIU game ended (SIU won 3-2 and that helps us). How disappointing is it that UE had runners on 1st and 2nd in the 9th with no outs and followed that with three straight pop flies. I'm not sure why they didn't try to bunt the runners up to 2nd and 3rd, but that is Evansville for you.

I was thinking the same thing, especially bred on ISU's failure to integrate "small ball" principles. However in the UE case last night in the 9th, the Aces had the top of their lineup batting and Wes Carroll obviously felt they could "clutch." I'm sure Coach Hannahs feels the same, as he plays the "avgs" of baseball for the most part.

Likely because the school has other sports happening. Most times Saturday softball will get ESPN because of the doubleheader and baseball will get Friday and Sunday. Title nine I assume or lack of staffing to steam both

This is the biggest reason I cancelled my ESPN+ subscription after MVFC spring football ended (I'll pick it back up at the end of August). Most of our (ISU and MVC) baseball games aren't on it anyways. The rare times they are on, they are on ESPN3 which isn't included with ESPN+. It looks like the DBU @ UE game is on ESPN3 tomorrow and it is apparently the only MVC game being broadcast tomorrow.

Btw, DBU won the 2nd game of the DH Saturday, 6-5, having a 5-run 5th inning that did the Aces in. Series has been much closer than most envisioned...

Ya, I didn't renew because of Covid-19. Not gonna snooze thru an NCAA game w/ no fans or excitement. By time I pay $35/mo for Sling (which has ESPN3) and an extra $5/mo for ESPN+, I can watch the 'friggin squirrels jockey for position on the trunk of the white oak outside my LR window and gather as much pleasure!
