StatSheet's Missouri Valley Player of the Week for February 4th goes to Evansville's Colt Ryan. StatSheet's Missouri Valley Freshman of the Week is Devonte Brown.
Ryan topped the Missouri Valley in assists (6.5 per game). He also put up a strong showing in rebounding (3.5 per game) and scoring (23.5 pts per game). The Evansville senior played well in a victory against Northern Iowa and an unfortunate loss to Missouri State.
Ryan led the Aces in scoring with 23 points and added 9 assists in a close 54-51 win over Northern Iowa. In the next game he led all scoring with 24 points and added 4 assists in a 62-61 loss to Missouri State.
This is the second StatSheet Missouri Valley Player of the Week award for Colt Ryan. He has also received an honorable mention. The runner-up this week is junior Doug McDermott from Creighton. Honorable mention goes to Bradley junior Walt Lemon Jr.. Jake Odum, who finished sixth, was the highest ranking player from Indiana State.

Devonte Brown played an average of 27 minutes as a starter for Indiana State. In a 68-55 upset of Wichita State, Brown rang up 10 points and 3 rebounds. Following that in a 74-71 loss to Drake, he put up 9 points and 4 rebounds.
This is a repeat honor for Devonte Brown, making it the second time he has won StatSheet Missouri Valley Freshman of the Week. Egidijus Mockevicius from Evansville grabs runner-up. Honorable mention goes to Joey King from Drake. With this latest achievement, Indiana State has won the StatSheet Missouri Valley Player of the Week award 2 times this season.
