Not a great thought but basketball & football Mid-majors (and I hate the term) will lose more than they might gain from this NCAA move. A star player that has a reasonable chance to start or play a lot will jump up to the "Big Leagues" one after the other. Conversely, the end of the bench P5 players will likely drop down a notch. Similar to minor league baseball movement.

Only if they extend this to next year.

This blanket waiver was for this year. That's why I laughed about them waiting so long to pass it. Football season is almost over and basketball has started so it really only helps those that had already transferred.
