JB, the ISU Roster wasn't posted until LAST WEEK, so it's hard to get excited when ya don't have any idea what's returning and what's new. Other than MVC Pre-season selections, ISU Baseball under Hannah's is always SEALED until just before the schedule begins. Also, how often are fans kept informed of Syc injuries/status. Rarely...

I think the biggest hurdle ISU Baseball faces when it comes to general fan interest is the weather, which is obviously out of ISU's control. We usually don't play any home games until after a month of play, and it doesn't get warm enough to enjoy going to a game for most fans until April. I've been to a lot of games in March where I had to wear my Carhartt coat.

At a minimum I'm planning on being at the Valpo series and at the MVC Tournament to close out the season. I would like to make it to another series this year if it works out. I'm trying to go on an 8 or 9 day road trip to Southern California in April though, so that will interfere with baseball this season.

I'm going to be in Evansville on March 4th for the OVC Tournament, and UE is playing a double header with free admission that day, so I'm planning on going to that before the OVC Championship that night. Not ISU, but it's MVC at least and you can't beat the price.

Big game for the baseball team to tomorrow, nationally rank Miami. Coach Hannahs knows how to schedule and should be a great measuring stick to where the squad is this early in the year.
