well take a look. this is a response to the news that kelly was leaving iowa and heading to indiana state. it was posted on the butler fans web site. you might get a laugh or two out of it. i think they protest too much...lol...:

Kelly isn't good enough to play at Butler first of all. I still can't figure out why people are so high on this kid. Some laughable posters on the ISU site said he has the ability to play NBA ball. I want what those guys are smoking. 6'6 and 185 ain't gonna cut it in the league unless you shoot like Reggie Miller. I went to high school with Jake at Carmel and he was wasn't really anything special then, nor is he now. He's not coming here anyway so there's no reason to speculate anymore.

Wow! Big 10 POW 2 times in 3 weeks and not good enough for Butler. Talk about an inflated? Wow! Too bad we don't play them.
 
Just more of the elitist BS you hear coming out of Indianapolis. This coming from a team that can't even win a conference championship game against Cleveland St. If they're so awesome how about taking a step up from the Horizon League? If Boise State is going to face that criticism in football, so should Butler in basketball.

I Totally agree if they were winning big-10 games or ACC regular season championships then yes they could talk like that but they are in a league below ours so they need to STFU
 
But guys that kid went to highschool with Jake so he should have a pretty good perspective. Another priceless post from a Carmel, Indiana native. I bet that same guy was all over his nuts while he was at Carmel huh? Wonder how he would be talking if he knew Jake was going to suit it up for the Dawgs next year? Something tells me he wouldn't be talking like that. What a tool.
 
i figured that you guys.....

would get a kick out of reading that post. there was another one that i didn't copy that said all brad stevens had to to was to call jake and he would be running to butler. lol

Butler, Seriously? Butler?

They play in a Division II conference and didn't win it. Cleveland State was good, but it was on Butler's home floor.

Until Butler "sacks-up" and puts Indiana State back on their schedule, their opinion means nothing to me. Butler would have been 4th in the MVC and 9th in the Big Ten.

He can't play at Butler?????? This poster is probably the guy that lost his roster spot when Carmel recruited Jake away from Marshall HS.

Seriously???? Butler?????

I'm not going to put the Butler program down because what they have developed is amazing up there, but to say Jake could'nt play at BU is a joke. Iowa was down the past few seasons but Jake was still playing against the "big boys" night in and night out and putting up very solid numbers. He instanly becomes a preseason POY canadate in the MVC and for our Trees.
