Very nice article--thanks for posting it. I've got a few friends that are coming with me to see the Trees. We will catch some of Sean's games.

i know at one point Bird, Baumgartner, and Kurt thomas were all on campus together. but when was the last time we had this kind of talent level at Indiana State. Shakir Bell, Jake Odum, Manea, Felisha Johnson, Greggmar Swift, etc. it seems every sport has at least one person that could play for any team in the country!!!

Great article. He truly is a humble kid and I wish him nothing, but the best. If you have not seen him pitch yet bring the whole family or neighborhood. IMO he will without a doubt be pitching in the bigs someday !!

Can't wait to see Sean pitch this year!

Also, there is a nice piece on A.J. Reed towards the bottom of this article.

I watched Reed on the Sunshine Network Friday night...UK @ Gainesville. He took the loss in a 4-1 verdict, going 6 1/3 innings - 4 runs (1 ER), 6 hits, 3 errors, 1 BB, 5 SO's. At the plate, he went 2/4 w/ 1 RBI. UK is ranked #9.

Saturday - UK beat UFL, 11-5. Reed was 1/3 (triple) w/ 2 RBI's.

Sunday - UK beat UFL, 6-2. Reed was 2/5.

UK was 14-3, Gators 9-10...not your typical FL early season squad.
