Make sure you pay attention to the part that says "losses that sting", perhaps I am not as big of a Sycamore fan as I thought since I don't recall us losing to UNC-Wilmington. :)

Not sure which MoVal team that was, but it wasn't us.

You're on target Bluethunder....UNC-Wilmington over Indiana State:krazy: ....it only happened in Jason King's dreams.

Well I can assure you that Indiana State didn't have a bad loss to UNC Wilmington - that I know for certain! Lol I would consider the loss to Bosie State a bad loss be it on the road - if you can't win at places like Bosie State then how can you expect to win at Drake? You follow-up with a road W at Vandy and right all previous wrongs.

He also picked us 4th in the Mo Val shows me work is still left to be done for the Sycamores. Clearly he didn't consult Andy Katz before writing this article.

Illinois State lost to UNC-Wilmington at home...a very bad loss. Although you should expect more from the "worldwide leader," it's just a typo. He just got the wrong ISU.

As for the article itself, I think it's lazy and not well researched...but that's what I expect from ESPN when it comes to covering mid-majors. All he did was looked at the non-conference records, saw who beat who, and picked his projections based on that alone. I guess take it for what it's worth: good publicity for the MVC but nothing to take all too seriously.

I'm not really concerned with specific predictions. The on-court play for all teams will determine that. The publicity is the key element with this article as getting national attention on ESPN is the key success factor in raising the profile of the Valley, and ultimately a huge contributing factor into how many bids the Valley could potentially be looking at this season.
