Admittedly late to the party here: Is TK (or any senior basketball player) eligible to exercise extra year? Or was this not for participants of truncated seasons that finished?
I believe returning seniors do not count against your scholarship total. The releases and news articles on this have been all over the place. Some say it's a blanket extra year even if you have already had 4 years of competition, some say it's not. Some say it is now 6 for 5, some 6 for 4, some say only this years senior class is bumped into that category. I know they're trying, but it's an absolute mess.
What I haven't seen is any scholarship waivers. So with that, we have one remaining scholarship open so that means we could potentially bring one senior back.
They announced that for the fall sport athletes that had their seasons postponed. I've yet to see an article that said they extended it for the winter sports. It's crazy the NCAA doesn't have a page up on their website outlining everything clearly.I believe returning seniors do not count against your scholarship total.
