I'm just wanting to see people reminisce about ISU Basketball. Who are some teams that came to Hulman Center that you got excited about? Try to exclude Butler or IU. I remember when North Texas came a few years ago. Love the Mean Green nickname.

That's easy. Oklahoma when Alvan Adams played.

Probably one the of biggest and smoothest bigman to ever play in the HC, besides Robert Parish - Centenary who also played in the HC.

I'd say Morehead as well. I found myself following them throughout that season, even picked them to beat Louisville in the tourney. Seeing Kenny Faried highlights on ESPN gets me excited knowing I watched him set an NCAA record at the Hulman Center.

New Mexico this year for sure.

Colorado State in 2009...always liked the MVC-MWC Challenge, slightly bummed it's over.

DePaul in 2010.

It's nice to have Purdue come to Hulman Center every few years.

The ranked Ball State team when Rick Majarus (Sp?) as coach came to HC. We wern't that good and beat em ! The IU and Purdue wins. You older guys probably have a ton from the Bird days

Remember that night when Kenny Rowan absolutely SCHOOLED the BSU forwards (who were supposed to be among the best in college basketball)? He couldn't be stopped. And then he tore up his knee. Never played again. He would have been a GREAT one for us...

Rowan was a steal for ISU...cut much in the mold like NC State's All-American, DAVID THOMPSON. Another ISU "hard luck" scenario. We've had our share of 'em over the past 4 decades.

There ya go...recall NMS's 6'7" F "Slab" Jones - he always gave LB fits inside, and with a name like S-L-A-B, he was always a threat to the ISU BQ table!

***Anyone know who's guarding Slab? :geek:
