I think we can win this one. I know they are rated high but if our defense can get pressure I think we can score enough points to win.

I hope you are correct -- I won't be there in person but this may be one of the few I can catch on "TV"

unfortunately for my viewing options, I have to ref a playoff game that starts at 1pm central so there is no way ill be able to weave though ESPN+ without seeing the actual score before watching the replay. same thing next week also.

Lenior is pretty solid and is probably going to have some big plays, we just need to limit them and not make them home runs.

This football program is certainly NOT heading in the right direction under this coaching staff. No sign of improvement this year and no potential signs of improvement in the near future that I can see.

Obviously not near the level of the majority of teams in our league. Not sure what the answer is but what we've got now is so far away it's embarrassing. A decision needs to be made as to what the goals of the university really are.

Did anyone see the ending of the SDSU-USD game? SDSU runs a 4th down play with 0:08 to go in the game up 20-17 to try to waste time to run the clock out. The QB throws the ball away and after review they put 0:01 back on the clock and USD got the ball 1st and 10 at their own 43 yard line. USD throws a hail mary 60 yards for the game winning TD 23-20. USD is now 7-3 and is going to the playoffs. The Yotes play at NDSU next weekend (likely a loss), so that might be the biggest play in their school's history.

we really took advantage of that week off, team was ready to play.
Forget about the bye week, we took a whole bye season in the Spring and we still suck. I also still believe that we took the Spring off so that we'd only have one bad season instead of two.

We'd be decent in practically any other FCS league, but if ISU is going to insist on being MVFC then we should expect a MVFC caliber program as a fan base. Miles and Sanford both did it, so I know it can be done.

Correction - Miles did it. Sanford had one good season where all the breaks went our way.

Bring back Miles! 😂

Correction: Miles never made the playoffs and road the back of Shakir Bell because his offenses were almost as inept as Mallory's. He went 6-5, 6-5 and 7-4 in his three winning seasons and never got us over the playoff hump. Meanwhile, Sanford made the playoffs and won a game. Not hating on Miles, I just get sick of Sycamore fans hating on Sanford and acting like Miles did it all. There was a 1-10 season in there before Sanford rebuilt the program and gave us our first and only post season, and a win, in decades. But Sycamore fans love Miles because he was one of us, and love Mallory because his dad coached at IU.

Since we’re being negative another sad thing is Mallory is blowing his chance to follow his dad‘s footsteps to IU. All he has to do is finish in the top half of the MVFC and sneak into the playoffs. I’m guessing IU is about done with Tom Allen thus there’s a pot of gold worth 10-20 million just waiting for him down SR 46 if he can just get ISU over the hump and finish two games above .500 and beat one or two of our peer institutions in the playoffs. With his last name that would probably be enough to convince IU to take a chance on him if they get rid of Allen in corresponding seasons. Bringing in Bill Mallory’s son who happened to build a winner at Indiana State would create an insane amount of hype in Bloomington IMO.

I liked Sanford okay and even while his last two seasons were losing one's, we were at least competitive with some of the top teams. The biggest problem with Sanford was that his teams were so undisciplined and we always got a 15 yard unsportsmanlike penalty at exactly the worst times, and usually it was by the same players over and over again. Those cost us several games too.
