That was just a dumb interception by the PSU QB. That was a throw away and probably just start running to go into OT. Sure happy for Marcus Freeman. Guys a class act. If Ohio State beats Texas handily, then it’s going to be tough for ND against them.

It took a couple of years into the "Freeman Era" but he and his coaches have managed to recruit corners who can play Man to Man against elite receivers. This opens up many options for different disguised coverage packages and blitz packages.

Now, assuming OSU does beat Texas as it is favored to do, it will be interesting to see if these corners can do the same thing against the NFL quality receivers playing for the Buckeyes.

Notre Dame has also managed to build up its depth in the trenches which was a LONG running weakness. The problem was most apparent in the DL depth and inability to run the ball against elite teams.

Down two starting DL much of the season and then losing its top DL for the PSU game (the other two have returned after long absences), Notre Dame apparently now has enough depth to barely survive those losses. I was doubtful against Georgia's running game and again last night.

Then it loses two starting O-Lineman versus Penn State but manages to hold together just enough to get a tying TD and winning FG.

ND recruiting is typically around 11-15 in the rankings. The coaches on staff must be doing a remarkable job of continuing to improve the talent they get on campus.

Riley Leonard looked like burnt toast in the first half. Only his injury and Steve Angeli's 6/6 passing performance got ND on the board. I was ready start the second half with the hot Angeli. I guess that is why I am not coaching as I didn't see 24 points coming in the second half with Leonard.

Just wondering if anyone who watched the FCS battle between NDSU's Cam Miller and MSU's Tommy Mellott cares to share a comparison of their play versus what we saw from Leonard and Allar last night??

Outside of just ND haters, Marcus Freeman is an outstanding person and coach. Penn State surprised me the way they played especially on defense.
Not sure if Texas has anything for Ohio State tonight. Everyone is talking how Ewers is not capable of putting points on the board, but he shouldn’t at least lose it for Texas. Longhorns need to be more concerned with their defense stopping Ohio State.

Notre Dame is a pretty easy team to root for this season. The coach is a class act and the players seem to be class acts too that play hard.

Ewers is going to take a beaten for that One. Fucking Texas line cannot control the line of scrimmage. Nobody is getting open, and he’s just trying to create something. That fumble was a disaster.
