What freshmen are not on the roster?
I do know that we have had a couple of injuries. Darian Donald has torn an ACL and will not play. Anthony Elias had a shoulder injury, I don't think he even came to ISU.
We also have a few kids that are "gray-shirting", which means they are at the university but not participating in football activities. Their eligibility will start the following year. This often happens to kids with injuries.

Elias will be here. I heard the other day that he had a growth on his back and had to have a medical procedure done to remedy the situation. Whether he will play this year is unlikely but he will be at ISU going forward.

I counted 7 recruits that are not on the roster (Tyler Boyd, Keith Deitel, Anthony Elias, Demory Lawshe, Kamerin Mitchell, Tyler Stafford, and Brent Weinzapfel). There seems to be some confusion about Anthony Elias--he is on the roster at U. of Indianapolis for this season?? A couple of others may be at different schools. I'm curious about the Boyd kid--I saw him at the spring game, and he had the look of a kid that would be a player--is he at ISU? There are about 5 Freshman on the roster that were not in the recruiting class (Dustin White, Davyn Wright, Jeremy Turner, Julian Bogan, and Aaron and Joshua Ogden).

I'll speak for Jeremy Turner, he was a preferred walk on last year and did not clear the clearing house in time last year he worked out with the strenght and conditioning coach all season last season but could not participate with the team. He is technically a sophmore as far as school and looks like a freshman as far as football

Elias doesnt play for ISU. I have a former high school teamate who plays at U of I, and Elias is on that team. U of I was the only school to give him an offer. We was going to walk on at ISU but didnt take the offer till after signing day.

I apologize about the Elias Situation, the discussion I had was about Elias Brown. Not Anthony Elias. It is weird that they both had medical problems. Elias Brown is still here but may not play do to his medical situation. Anthony Elias is at U of Indy. Sorry.
